Authorities are looking for a 16-year-old suspect who accidentally shot a younger teen Thursday while a group of them were playing with guns that had just been stolen, The Jail Report has learned.

The accidental shooting inside a home on Ellis Street led to the death of 14-year-old Camron “Lil Khamm” Robinson (pictured). The victim was also involved in an earlier burglary. The youth were goofing around with the guns inside one of the teen’s homes when Robinson was accidentally shot in the chest by a 16-year-old male friend, according to authorities.

The sheriff’s office said this: “The shooting at this time appears to be accidental and an isolated incident. The juvenile is being charged for felony involuntary manslaughter and misdemeanor weapon possession. The juvenile has not been located but a Juvenile Pickup Order has been issued and investigators are following up leads.”

Investigators were able to connect the 16-year-old boy along with three other juveniles to a burglary that occurred on the 2000 block of Fenwick Street, when several guns were taken. The teens have been suspected of committing other burglaries in the area, The Jail Report has learned.

All juveniles except the shooting suspect have been arrested and charged with burglary and possession of a firearm by a person under 18. The three juveniles that were apprehended were committed to RYDC.
